Musician Beck is being sued by his landlord and accused of causing damage to the rental home that he lived in from 2011 until February of 2013. The lawsuit began when Beck filed suit against German actor/filmmaker Til Schweiger, the landlord, for his $11,000 deposit when it was not returned. Schweiger counter sued, claiming that Beck had caused the damage to his three bedroom home in Malibu that the singer had been paying $11,000 for. Some of the problems noted were mold, electrical and plumbing issues. In the end, the actor claims that he was put back $40,000 for unauthorized work. All together, the lawsuit against Beck reaches $56,704.24 when back-rent is included.
