We all know that the slower months are coming. Business can often come to a crawl around the holidays, but that doesn't mean that there's nothing to be done in the real estate industry. To be successful in the upcoming year, don't allow yourself to slack during the slower months. You can use this time to build relationships and to cultivate reliable networks. Set up time blocks to make sure you're using your time most efficiently. Find ways to stay in touch with prior clients. You've spent time developing that relationship, there's no reason to lose it once the deal is done. They may need you again, and if not, they can always refer you to their friends. You can use some of the downtime to conduct an internal audit on your business. This will allow you the data you can use to set up your goals for 2014 and create a marketing plan. Finally, make sure to keep an eye on trends. You may have extra time and this opens you up to webinars and seminars that can better help you in the the year to come.
