Two landlords, a husband and wife, plead guilty to a variety of felony charges including residential burglary, stalking, and attempted grand theft of some of their former tenants. While their lawyer claims that they were naive of eviction laws, they were attempting to drive their tenants out by some rather strange and very dangerous methods. They cut a hole in one tenant's floor with a saw with the tenant inside, they cut into the beams holding the building so that it was unsound, and when lawyers became involved, they even created false emails and posed as the tenants to try to fire the lawyers.
They boarded up windows, changed locks, and even held their own property manager at gunpoint. After all this they fled the country in hopes of escaping the trial.
