A landlord in Fall Rivers, Massachusetts just saw the criminal charges against him dropped when they could not find enough evidence to support those charges. David Colville owns 32 properties in the area, some of which have been condemned and shut down due to the state that they're in. He owes around $500,000 in back taxes and has multiple violations against him for various issues with his properties, including smoke detectors that are either missing or not operational, blocked exits, roach infestations, and defective plumbing. He had been charged with thirteen accounts of child endangerment, but those were the criminal charges that were dropped. Elizabeth Sousa, the lawyer that was fighting to keep the charges, says she is very disappointing in the ruling.
