Plumber held prisoner by angry tenant who wanted a bath


Kevin Barnfield, a plumber for Mears, was locked inside Sean Leach's home when Mr Leach became angry with him for refusing to provide extra repairs on his bathtub. Barnfield called the Bedford Pilgrims Housing Association and the police arrived half an hour later. Leach proved aggressive towards the authorities.


After pleading guilty before the trial began, the judge said that he was to carry out 100 hours of community service and pay fines for the action of holding the plumber against his will.
