Real Estate Developer Owns Mafia Graveyard

Real estate developer Ron Hershco knew that buying and developing properties in New York City brought about strange and interesting new things at every turn, but he never would have dreamed that one of the properties that he had bought would turn out to be an old mafia graveyard. He bought the empty lot for $1.6M on 75th Street in Ozone Park, Queens. It had once been a place where the Gambino family was found, including John Gotti.

When the police searched the site they found multiple bodies, including Tommy DiSimmone who was the inspiration for Joe Pesci's character in Goodfellas as well as the body of John Favara. Favara was the neighbor of John Gotti that was responsible for the accidental death of Gotti's twelve-year-old son.
