21012's so-called 'trophy crazy' may have come to an end in 2013, with the highest price paid in NYC landing at $43 million, which is $11 million less than the highest priced co-op of 2012. The six story "loft-mansion" was less than half of the $88 million penthouse that once belonged to Sandy Weill and was sold in 2012 as well. The top price paid for a townhouse was $34.35 million is much less than last year's $42 million.
Even with the lower prices of 2013, 2014 sales are looking promising with contracts already out for $90 million + homes in NYC.
